Tell Chris Christie: Reduce The Size Of Gun Ammunition Magazines
In approximately four minutes, the shooter at Sandy Hook Elementary shot 154 bullets, killing 20 children and 6 educators.
He'd brought 10, 30-round, large-capacity gun ammunition magazines into the school. When he was forced to reload, 11 children were able to escape.
If magazines were reduced to one-third the number of rounds available that day, just think how many more could have survived.
In New Jersey, Governor Chris Christie only has until June 30 to decide whether or not to sign a bill into law that would reduce the size of ammunition magazines to 10 rounds – and opponents of common sense reforms from across the country are pressuring him to veto it.
Please join Sandy Hook Promise in urging Governor Christie to sign this common sense bill that should be a model for all states, so that we can prevent the heartbreak Newtown families endured from occurring elsewhere.
